YouTube Videos in Chat, Self-Serve API Keys
Paste any YouTube URL into Glystn Chat or the MCP to get the full video breakdown — title, transcript, comments, and engagement stats. Plus, you can now create and manage your own MCP API keys directly from Settings.
New: Look up any YouTube video in Glystn
You can now paste a YouTube link — regular videos, Shorts, or youtu.be links — directly into Glystn Chat or the get_posts MCP tool and get the full video breakdown. Title, view count, likes, comments, and the complete transcript, all pulled live. The chat panel renders a dedicated YouTube card with a full-width thumbnail, collapsible description and transcript sections, and top comments — so you can scan the video's content and audience reaction without leaving Glystn.
What you can do with it
- Competitive teardowns. Drop a competitor's YouTube video into Chat and get the transcript, top comments, and engagement stats in seconds — no need to watch the whole thing or scrub through manually.
- Cross-platform creator vetting. If you're evaluating a creator who's active on YouTube alongside Instagram and TikTok, you can now pull their video content into Glystn and get a complete picture of their spoken content across all three platforms.
- Quick content research. Looking at a video that's getting traction? Paste the link, read the transcript, and understand what's resonating — then use that insight to inform your campaign strategy or find similar content across Instagram and TikTok.
New: Create and manage your own MCP API keys
MCP API keys are now self-serve. Head to Settings, create a new key, and start making MCP tool calls immediately — no more reaching out to request one manually. You can see all your active keys, create new ones, and revoke any key instantly. MCP tool calls draw from your shared credit pool, so usage stays transparent alongside your chat and trends activity.
New: Start trend boards from any post
You can now create a trend board by pasting an Instagram or TikTok post link directly into the Trends API. Glystn resolves the post's stored embedding and uses it to seed the analysis — so you can explore what's trending around a specific piece of content without needing to look up a cluster ID or write a semantic query first. Works in both trending (time-series) and topical (snapshot) modes.

- Prompt Guide. We published a Prompt Guide to help you get more out of Glystn Chat. It covers search strategies, campaign setup patterns, and tips for getting the best results from each tool. Download it as a PDF or read it in your browser at glystn.com/prompt-guide.
- Clearer pricing. Pricing cards now show annual billing toggles, consistent credit cost labels across Chat, Trends, and MCP, and cleaner feature names across all plan tiers.
- Faster find_similar results. The find_similar MCP tool was occasionally timing out on TikTok URLs due to a missing index optimization. That's fixed — results now return quickly regardless of platform. There's also a new light parameter on social_search that returns compact results for lower token usage.
- Weekly digest reliability. Fixed an encoding issue that caused some weekly digest emails to fail for campaigns whose post data contained certain Unicode characters. All digest-enabled campaigns now send reliably.
