Glsytn, Inc. (“Glystn” or “we”) provides the Glystn Data Management Platform (the “Glystn DMP”) in connection with certain podcast measurement and analytics services (the “Services”) to its business customers (each, a “Customer”).

This Product Privacy Policy covers Glystn’s data-related practices and methods related to personal information in the use of the Glystn DMP and other Glystn products and services in the course of its business (collectively, the “Services”). Further, this Product Privacy Policy describes how Glystn collects, uses, discloses and otherwise processes personal information on behalf of its Customers in connection with the Services.

As a data processor, Glystn provides the Services to its Customers. Customers are the data owners/data controllers with respect to personal information processed through the Services. This Product Privacy Policy does not apply to any websites or other online services. To the extent Glystn shares information with any of its Customers in accordance with this Product Privacy Policy, this Product Privacy Policy shall not apply to the subsequent use of that information by any Customer. In addition, this Product Privacy Policy is not a substitute for any privacy notice that a Customer provides, or may be required to provide, to its listeners, authorized users or other individuals.

This Policy may be updated in the future as the Services develop. Updates will be posted in this document, and may also be announced Glystn’s website and/or through Customer and consumer marketing channels, such as social media accounts and email lists.

What Data We Collect

Glystn DMP Data

The Glystn DMP allows Glystn’s Customers to collect and analyze information about their end-users, and may collect the following types of data about Customers’ end users (“Customer End User Data”):

Use of Customer End User Data

Glystn uses such data in the following ways:

  • Measure usage of the Services
  • Inform improvements to Glystn’s business and Services

  • Customize service experiences for Customers and their end users
  • Create anonymous, aggregated or otherwise de-identified analysis or reporting for Customers and/or internal use

Retention of Customer End User Data

Glystn will retain Customer End User Data only as long as we need it for legitimate business purposes and as permitted by applicable legal requirements.

If a Customer closes its account with Glystn, we will retain certain Customer End User Data for analytical purposes and recordkeeping integrity, as well as to prevent fraud, or take actions we deem necessary to protect the integrity of the Services, or take other actions otherwise permitted by law.

Data Subject Rights

The relevant Customer is the data owner/data controller of Customer End User Data collected, used, disclosed or otherwise processed through the Services. As the data owner/data controller, the relevant Customer is responsible for receiving and responding to end users and other requests to exercise any rights afforded to them under applicable data protection laws. Disclosure of Customer End User Data

Glystn may disclose Customer End User Data under the following circumstances:

  • Legal Obligation – when required by law, to protect Customers or Customer end users, and/or to prevent fraud.
  • Use of 3rd-Party Services – for purposes of using certain third party services, such as hosts, infrastructure providers, and outside contractor maintenance or development resources.
  • Transfer of Assets – in the case of a merger or acquisition, where Glystn’s assets are transferred to or otherwise acquired by a third party.

Use of Third Party Tools

The Services may integrate with or enable access to third party tools. Customers that register, install or access any third party tools may be required to accept privacy notices provided by those third parties. Please review those notices carefully, as Glystn does not control and is not responsible for privacy or information security practices of third parties.
