Paste a YouTube Link, Get the Full Video
New: Drop YouTube links right into the chat
Glystn chat now accepts YouTube URLs the same way it accepts Instagram and TikTok links — regular videos, Shorts, and youtu.be shortlinks all work. Paste a link and Glystn pulls the full video live: title, channel, description, view and like counts, top comments, and the transcript when it's available. Everything the AI needs to summarize, compare, or analyze the video is right there in the conversation.
How it works
- Open Glystn chat and paste any YouTube URL in your message — on its own or mixed in with Instagram and TikTok links. You can drop up to 25 post links at once.
- Glystn fetches each video live — no waiting on a crawl, no stale data — and drops a full YouTube card into the thread with the thumbnail, title, channel, and stats.
- Ask Glystn anything about it. "Summarize this video." "What's the hook in the first 30 seconds?" "Pull the top objections from the comments." The transcript and top comments are already loaded, so the answer comes back instantly.
What you can do with it
- Summarize long-form videos without watching them. Drop a 12-minute product review or a 30-minute podcast clip and let Glystn pull the main arguments, the standout quotes, and the moments worth paying attention to.
- Compare the same story across platforms. Paste a YouTube long-form alongside an IG Reel and a TikTok on the same topic and ask Glystn how the narrative, tone, and audience reaction shift between long and short form.
- Mine the comment section. YouTube comments are goldmines for social listening. Glystn pulls the top comments — cleaned, with like counts — so you can surface objections, product requests, and sentiment patterns in seconds.
- Shorts work too. Drop a YouTube Shorts link and Glystn treats it like any other short-form video — perfect for cross-platform trend tracking.
Also new: Copy any post result as markdown
Every post Glystn pulls for you — YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok — now has a Copy Markdown button on the tool result. One click gives you a clean, formatted snippet with the title, link, engagement stats, caption or description, transcript, and top comments. Drop it straight into a brief, a Notion doc, or a Slack message — no reformatting required.
For MCP users: a lighter social_search
Building agents on top of the Glystn MCP? social_search now supports a light: true option that returns only the username, a 150-character transcript snippet, and the permalink for each result. It's a meaningful cut to token usage on large sweeps when you don't need the full payload.
Fixes
- Fixed a timeout in
find_similarthat could hang when looking up TikTok permalinks. Find Similar now detects the platform from the URL and only queries the right collection — no more stalls. - Patched the Prompt Guide routes so the landing page and PDF download are reachable without signing in.
